1. Which interval setting do people use ? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Genuine question: Is there any benefit to running at an FPS rate higher than your monitor refresh rate? I always read people talking about 80 or 120 fps and wonder what generating all these extra frames adds to the visual experience?

+1 Reflective parts of Minmatar ships look nice when passing light sources but on full or close zoom the 'rusty' textures look blocky/pixel-y and fairly terrible. High res texture options would be very welcome.

Thanks for the info everyone, in the end I decided to go for - Amd FX-6300 six core GTX660ti 16GB DDR3 1600mhz Ram Hopefully that should run smooth and save the mac from exploding. Thanks again, looking forward to seeing Eve in nice quality.

Thanks for the comments, it will indeed be just for a single client of max graphics EVE only and no other games or applications. The Mac Mini gets upto approaching 100 degrees C in some of the CPU cores currently even without shadows/AA/post pro...

So far I have been playing Eve on a Mac mini with i7 / 4gig ram / integrated hd4000 which runs well with textures and LOD set to high and everything else low/disabled. I get smooth 60 fps in quiet areas and haven't ventured to more populated space...
